Google News article Google’s official course guide, for learners of programming languages like Java and C#, offers several suggestions for starting out.
Among them is a section on starting out as a beginner: “If you’re new to computer programming or are just getting started, you can start out by learning the fundamentals of computer programming by taking the course Intro to Computer Programming.”
That’s the first step, as you can probably tell, to a more complete introduction.
And then there are several other sections, such as learning how to program and writing code, which focus on learning from scratch.
“You can learn by doing, or you can learn through hands-on practice,” explains the course’s “beginner” section.
The other sections offer guidance on getting started with the latest languages and platforms, and more advanced tips.
Here are some examples: Start with a project.
Learn about the project and ask questions.
“There’s an excellent book out called The Complete Beginner’s Guide to the Java Language, which explains the core concepts and techniques in a way that’s easy to grasp and understandable by anyone,” says Srinivas Bose, cofounder of Bose Learning Technologies.
“That’s a great book for anyone who wants to get started.”
If you need help with a new language, the book can be used to get you started.
If you’re not sure what language you’re looking to learn, there’s a lot of material on the site that’s well-written, detailed and easy to follow.
“If we can get you to understand how to use the tools in our software, then you’ll get a much better understanding of what’s possible,” it says.
“The first step in learning to program is actually to actually get familiar with the tools.”
